A good number of Le Lot's many Castles now serve as high-end luxury hotels and wedding venues. Many also serve as wineries and offer fine-dining experiences with the region's best chefs. Others offer spas and wellness facilities to take advantage of the summer sun and fresh air. A number of boutique hotels offer more intimate accommodations. Hôtel Château de Mercuès
Located near Cahors, the hotel and restaurant of the Château de Mercuès offers a four star luxury hotel and dinning experience. The castle served as the residence of the Counts Bishops of Cahors for nearly eight centuries, reflecting medieval and renaissance architecture of the period.
