Les Hauts de Saulies

Conveniently located between Sait-Cirq-Lapopie and Rocamour, Les Hauts de Saulies offers five upscale rooms in a renovated country estate. Auberge de la Fontaine is located in the heart of Autoire, a medieval town  overlooked by ancient cliffside ramparts and classified as one of France's most beautiful villages. The Auberge (9 rooms and the restaurant) serves somewhat more refined dishes than most traditional restaurants in the area, offering recipes such as a cèpe and escargot casserole (which is excellent). Room rates range from EURO 60-70.

Hôtel Lou Cantou

Located in the village of Loubressac, officially classified as one of France's most beautiful villages, Hôtel Lou Cantou is a charming bed & breakfast with 12 rooms in the heart of the countryside. Lou Cantou's restaurant is known for its affordable menu of regional recipes and an outside terrace with a panoramic view of the Dordogne valley. Room rates range from EURO 60 - 72. Demi-pension (breakfast and a meal) and pension complète (Three meals a day) are also available.

Those traveling on a tighter budget can avail themselves of numerous Bed & Breakfasts (BnB) that dot Le Lot's countryside.  BNB operations range from Auberge's with 5-6 rooms to families offering single rooms. Beyond cost savings, BNBs often offer a using window into day-to-day life in Le Lot with hosts eager to show off the region's gifts to visitors. Hosts are invariably polite and warm. Many of the operations are sparse with basic amenities for sleeping and showering. Prices are affordable, ranging from EURO 30 - 70 (even in the summer months).
